Heat Welcomes Gilas Team

The  NBA’s Miami Heat gave the Gilas Pilipinas a warm welcome as the national team wrapped up the third day of its training camp in South Florida.
On the other day, The Heat sent their greetings to Coach Chot Reyes and the rest of Gilas through giving a tweet in Twitter, and also wishing them the best in their current camp held in training for next month’s FIBA World Cup in Spain.



The Miami’s heat tweet contains “Welcome to Miami, (Chot Reyes) and (Gilas Pilipinas)! We hope your training camp for the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup is going well!”.
Reyes replied his tweeting  by saying: “Yes it is! Thanks for the welcome. Hope you could drop by so we can visit.”
The heat of course drop a visit to the Gilas team and Heat players took about an hour for them to meet the rest of the Gilas players. LA Tenorio, Jayson Castro and Beau Belga had a chance meeting with newly-signed Heat forward Luol Deng at the JW Marriott Hotel where Gilas is accommodated.
The three proud players of Gilas Piplipas instantly posted photos of their meeting with the former NBA All-Star on Instagram.
The Gilas team is in Miami for the first phase of their training and will then head for Spain ahead of the World Cup to play a sequence of exhibition competitions.
