AFP To Conduct Further Investigation On Friendly Fight That Killed Six Soldiers

General Emmanuel Bautista the military chief of Manila, Philippines ordered to re-investigate the incidence of  friendly fire which killed some six Army soldiers last month in Sulu.

In spite of taking any action by finding and recommending the regional headquarters, the Board of Inquiry from General Headquarters are going to make a further re-investigation at Camp Aguinaldo.

On Friday Bautista told the reporters that he received the report of BOI and constitutes a Board of Inquiry from the General Headquarter level to see this report and check out what all they can do further and take an appropriate action needed to address this issue.

On Thursday, based on the report from Western Mindanao Command, military officials revealed that those six Army men are killed in the artillery fire round done by the Marines and it is not Abu Sayyaf.
The Marines have fired howitzer rounds of 105mm for strengthening their soldiers engaged with the militant in the last 19th June but those hit the Army detachment instead.

Bautista again reported that definitely they are going to address the issue. It was an unfortunate incident that nobody wanted it but happened unknowingly. He also said that this happens even in the world among best armies and lastly this happened even in Afghanistan with the US Army.

He also added it was a hazard that can happen with any members in the Army Force. In this we can do is to become more conscious and learn from it. Good efforts are putting to prevent any such incident happen in future.
