CRUISE LINES WANT TO HELP DEVELOP THE PHILIPPINES AS THE NEXT INTERNATIONAL CRUISE DESTINATION

Following the meeting with senior officials of the three prominent cruise industry in the world in Florida, AmbosarJose L. Cuisia unveiled the possibility of the Philippines to be a cruise destination in the future. 
This is because the three leading lines Carnival, Royal Carribean and Norwegian Cruise Lines voiced their interest to help the Philippines to become a cruise destination. They believe that the Philippines can afford  to provide guests a unique and a notable  cruise experience. The Ambassador said that the cruise giants have discussed infrastructure requirement during the meeting while he himself took the opportunity to introduce them the remarkable destination possibilities in the Philippines most particular the Vigan.
 Carnival Cruise
Vigan is one of the favorite tourist destination in the northern Philippines and  presently competing to be one for the newest record of the New Seven Wonders of the Word. It has been called as "the best-preserved example of a planned Spanish colonial town in Asia".
Royal Caribbean
The three industry leaders, which already hired a total of 61,700 Filipino crew members, announced  their plans to hire more Filipino seafarers as they get more cruise ships to support their  cruise development plans. The three cruise companies have expressed their admiration to the Filipino crew and told the Ambassador that quality service is in the Filipino genes. 
Norwegian Cruise
 “Carnival Corporation hires the leading number of Filipinos with a total of  37,700 crewmen followed by Royal Caribbean with 16,000 and Norwegian Cruise Lines with a half of Carribean’s (8,000).” Said by Labor Attaché Luzviminda Padilla, who accompanied the Embassy officials who accompanied Ambassador Cuisia in the meeting.
