Duterte for President moves to a higher level

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte
Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte is strongly being urged to run for presidential election in 2016 despite the Duterte’s continued declination to the demands.

Meanwhile, an organized nationwide signature campaign that will persuade Duterte is being held by his supporters that has been reaching more and more provinces in the Philippines.

Barangay Captain Masanguid, prime mover of the nationwide movements, told reporters that the other provincial coordinators have already working on various areas in the region in order to gather the needed signatures.

“These assigned coordinators to do the gathering of signatures do not receive single centavo and they solely work as volunteers,” Baranggay Captain Masanguid pointed out.

Recently, Mindanaoan Reuben Canoy of the Radio Mindanao Network, the largest radio network in the Philippines, also urged Duterte to run for the higher office.
Canoy and Duterte had a closed-door meeting at the Marco Polo Hotel Thursday evening along with former Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) secretary Pantaleon Alvarez.
According to a source, Duterte was overheard as telling Canoy to just seek for someone they could all support come 2016.
Canoy and Duterte refused to give any detail on their meeting.
The operations (nationwide campaign) already reached some LGU officials not just in Mindanao but also in Luzon and Visayas.

“Some local government officials already signified its willingness to support and even volunteered their local coordinators to work with our movement,” Masanguid said.

Masanguid, however, refused to name the said officials whom the movement had already stretched.

He added the movement has gathered more than 11 million signatures nationwide.
