Cebu signs up against Pork barrel

With the continuous campaign demanding the administration for the abolition of pork barrel, militant organizations continue to roll the ball through the sign-up drive for the People’s initiatives that aims to scrap out the kind of dictatorship in the government. The pork barrel fund that put the country into shame because of the very infamous Napoles scam has remained intact in the national budget through the Disbursement Acceleration Fund (DAP).

Sanlakas, along with other militant groups like the Bukluran ng Manggagawang Pilino and the Partido Lakas ng Masa (PLM), is preparing for a nationwide campaign for the abolition of pork barrel and the DAP.

Sonny Melencio of PLM said that Aquino is a corrupt and dictatorial as the previous Arroyo regime. On the other hand, Kabataan partylist Rep. Terry Ridon expressed his full support toward the success of this effort.

This campaign has also received support from the Catholic Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) which both Archbishop Palma of Cebu and Archbishop Tagle of Manila commended the people in making the democracy alive and for showing priceless love for the country.

More activities for putting the pork barrel into an end are expect to hoist in some other provinces that will take part for the nationwide stretch of showing dismay against PNoy’s administration.
