Opposition party planning to take the throne

Recently there has been a lot of talk going on about the Mayor of Mataki in Manila, Philippines. Rumor spreads that the Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay, son of the Vice President Jejomar Binay, received a documented complain involving him in a plundering. On Tuesday the
Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay made a statement regarding this complaint.

He mentioned that his rivals are trying to get him and the Makati City council suspended by placing the complaint so that they can take control and assign associates from the Liberal Party (LP) and from Nacionalista Party (NP). Even these two opposition parties and the Vice Mayor Romulo Peña, a member of the LP, haven been enemies of Binays’ and so it was stated that it could have been them trying to take the thorn for themselves.

The mayor have also mentioned that as the LP and the NP party have not yet won a single election so the rivals are attempting to appoint LP as the mayor. He stated that this will only bring more chaos, but will slowly destroy the lives of people in Makati.

One of the important matters he added was that this kind of situation, which he is facing, is just like the suspension that his father and the City Council were ordered by the Arroyo regime in 2006 due to the fact that his father was the leader of the opposition party. The Mayor Binay even specified that his political enemies have deleted series of proofs of the ordinance, which was given to the Ombudsman. This ordinance contained names of the political friends who were marked as the main sponsors of the rule which is involved in the questioning of the Makati City Hall Building 2.

So, as they have not stated the sponsors, the Mayor Binay indicated that they are just trying to put the public people under a trap. At the end of his speech he included that after the allegations are proven falsified, then he would accept nothing but an apology from the Trillanes.
