MANILA, Philippines – President’s critics continue to desperately scrutinize and demolish his administration in all means, as his advocacies and visions continue to grow and bear good results. The government encourages unifying with his reforms instead of throwing malice on his term.

Consequently, despite these spitting out of some Filipinos in his performance, President Benigno Aquino III outline the challenge of today’s modern patriotism during his speech at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City.

Aquino solicited Filipinos to assist him and draw solidarity.

In his speech, he signified the spirit of the celebration, that it is a day of remembering all those whose heroism made it possible to enjoy the blessings of lifelong independence and the given opportunity towards country’s development.

He also said that it is a day of thanksgiving that the country is spared from very serious threats of war and violence and stolen freedom.
Then he finally called it a moment for reflecting on the various meanings and symbols of heroism, singling out Filipinos who continue to bestow heroism a face, such as the Overseas Filipino workers and of ordinary volunteers who had served the country during calamities.
