If there is one word to describe the capital of the Philippines, it must be: CHAOS! Pollution, overcrowding, overpopulation, lack of discipline, garbage, crime, poverty, squatter areas or slums, drugs, illegal trades -- you name it and they are all rampant
in Manila.
in Manila.
I am not saying that in Cebu, there are no such problems but the difference is the level of prevalence.
Metro Manila isn't so bad when you just stay in QC and if offices like DFA, POEA and some immigration offices. Apparently, these offices aren't in QC so people from Marikina, Bulakan and from Alabang need to travel for hours only to fall in-line the whole day.
The beauty in Cebu is that, you can survive with just P50 as your budget for your meal unlike in Taft Avenue or anywhere near DFA that you'd have to spend around P150 to eat a carenderia budget meal and sabaw out of knorr cubes.
Commodities In Manila are too expensive compare to the commodities in Cebu. Cuisines are even better in Cebu than in Manila. I rarely see kangkong being served in Cebu. It was only later i knew that kangkong is only for pigs lol Not to mention Manila's traffic.
