US matches Spain to move with 2-0 records

With the continuous dominance of the United States at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, the team defeated the Turkey early Monday morning (Philippine time), 98-77, for their second straight victory while the Spain also advanced their second straight win against Egypt, 91-54.
Denver Nuggets’ Kenneth Faried led five Americans in double figures with 22 points and Anthony Davis scored 19 as the reigning champions had a fight against Turkey before prevailing 98-77 in a rematch of the 2010 final.
While James Harden chipped in 14 points and seven assists for the mighty Americans in Group C.

On the other hand, Oklahoma superstar Ibaka led the way with 18 points, coming down with eight rebounds as well. His efforts in the paint allowed Spain to out-rebound Egypt 47-33 for the game. The Gasol bothers combined for 20 points and three blocks, while Fernandez hit 5 of 8 attempts from the floor for 14 points.

These two teams are considered as the traditional powers of this 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup. Team USA is expected a hot roll from the Spain which is led by the newly acquired Chicago Bulls forward Pau Gasol who outscored team Iran with 33 points.
