MNLF Official speaks for the possible ISIS recruits
ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines- According to a senior official of the Moro Nat'l Liberation Front (MNLF), the widespread discussion thread about the reported recruitment conducted by the Islamic State of Iraq and Levent (ISIS) in Mindanao is possible considering the existence of Abu Sayaff and the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighter (BIFF). There are video clips posted in the social media where an Abu Sayaff leader and his followers can be seen pledging their full support toward ISIS.
The Chief of MNLF's Islamic Command Council Habib Mujahab Hashim said that Sunni preachers allegedly recruiting new ISIS members.
Hashim added that the current condition of Mindanao region might convince local militants to group with the extremist group.
The AFP are not ignoring the idea of this recruitment in some parts of Mindanao, and they continue to validate and analyze information received.
