Toyota
Motor which is one of the leading
company that is popular in producing hybrid cars is now putting itself as the company that
will bring hydrogen-fueled, zero-carbon-emission vehicles into the majority.
This
Japanese company plans to issue a new car
sometime in the
present economic
year until next March. This car is powered by that colorless, odorless gas. Toyota's car
will cost around 100 million yen.
Chairman
of Toyota Takeshi Uchiyamada told Shinzo Abe in mid-July when the prime mister
visited a hydrogen fueling station in the western part of Kitayushu, that their
company has finally developed a car that can change the society.
Abe's
growing strategy demands for making hydrogen a major energy source not only
within their country, but within many places around the word. Everyday a large amount
of the gas are produced a byproduct of steel and chemical plants. Instead of
importing crude oil, it is better to develop and extend hydrogen supply infrastructure
which he believes as the best solution
to energy problems.
Abe
drove himself drove the Toyota's
prototype for about two minutes and examined a mechanism in the car's rear section where water is disposed to produce hydrogen generates
electricity.
The Prime Minister promised to make
all-out-effort in promoting fuel cell cars. They will offer it for at least 2
million yen for every unit.
