Government releases a huge lot of
funds for the welfare of society and its poor people but there are mediocre
people in between, who indulge themselves in the act of cheating and frauds.
This act of mediocrity leads to lack of services among the needy and poor.
In a raid on Wednesday, the
Department of Justice arrested a group of 17 individuals
who were indulging themselves in the act of repacking the rice provided by
government into commercial bags. They were planning to sell away the rice
allotted by government for poor people into commercial market at a higher
price.
The police of Philippines worked
on this for a long time; they had the clue about this group of frauds, they
were waiting for the right time to catch them red-handed. They were busted in MANILA,
while re-packing the rice issued from the National Food Authority.
A bail of 30,000 each was
recommended by a prosecutor. The busted group showcased a sense of belonging
among themselves and presented themselves as a unit of re-packers, although the
DOJ suspects them to be indulged in other similar activities and hence so, an
order of proper investigation of their past has been released and the local police
is ready to raid their workstations and extract more information about their
work and record.
