23 Taiwanese and Chinese Nationals Involved In Cyber Fraud Busted by Philippines Police


The advancement in Internet and technology has allowed every hand to make a mark in the world. While some are busy making social networking sites, some are busy hacking them and trying to make quick money. In a recent revelation from Philippines Police department a case has been brought into limelight where 23 Chinese and Taiwanese have been busted in the case of cyber fraud. 

These 23 cyber frauds were busted in the city of Iloilo on Wednesday in a raid at telecom fraud syndicates safe house. All of the busted criminals are reported to be of Chinese and Taiwanese origin. The police of the Philippines had pre-requisite information about their legal and fraud activities over the Internet with the help of social network. The police department was making a specific plan to bust these criminals. A number of mobile phones, broadband connections and contact details have been abducted from the site of the raid. The police are working on details they can extract from these connections and bust the whole group of cyber frauds working in the vicinity of the country. These frauds generally used to introduce themselves over the phone as police officers, bank officers and as travel agents and used to con people with their money. Police officers said in an interview that their accounts will be ceased and moneys will be recovered and will be submitted to the government account. The frauds are under the cell of ACG and are waiting for their immigration to the Bureau for immediate departure as requested by Wang.
