Trillanes wants to see VP Binay in the Senate Investigation Of ‘overpriced’ Makati building

Senator Antonio Trillales want to sue Philippine Vice President Jejomar Binay as he said Tueday that Binay should be present at the Senate hearing regarding his alleged overpricing in the construction of a Makati City Hall parking building during his term as Makati mayor.

Trillanes himself filed the resolution asking for an investigation and saying that  he wants Binay to attend the Senate hearing that will be conducted by the blue ribbon committee where he will be given a chance to explain his side on the issue.


Trillanes told the reporters that Jejomar Binay is the central figure of this issue while his son who is the present Mayor of Makati is only the second figure. However, the elder Binay was not yet invited to attend for the first hearing to be held next week. The senator said that in due time, they must have  a strong evidence before they are going to invite the Vice President. 


Trillanes also said the committee will offer Binay and his office due courtesy and they will afford him all the politeness that the office deserves, we will be very careful. 

When he was asked who will be requested to be present  at the first hearing, the senator said they have lined-up some witnesses but he did not name them yet.
